fields in which you can operate to make a living online, either selling
your own products or selling someone else's (commonly known as

you decide to operate in.

You need to decide in which field you want to operate and what type of
product(s) you will be selling and promoting.
Step 2:
Make your product(s) known on the internet. There are different ways how
to do this. You can use free blogs, free advertising or paid
advertising. Advertising is discussed in detail later on in this
article. We suggest that you have your own website built either by
yourself or by a web designer. Searching the internet, you can find good
prices to have your website built. For those who can built their own
website but would like to add stunning graphics to their website, an
internet search provides good prices for graphics design. There are many

This ebook gives you a good overview to internet marketing and have links to web

Step 3:
Put your website on the internet. You can use free web space to host
your website (putting your website on the internet). Some ebook
publishers give you some megabytes of free web space when you buy their
ebook. The ebook mentioned in Step 2 is one of them. This is a good idea to start with but if you are taking the job
seriously, we recommend that you get your own domain name and web space.
A domain name is the URL you type in the address bar of your browser.
You should choose the domain name as either to be your business name or
related to the product(s) you will be selling. It is important to choose
your domain name carefully and that it is not too long. It should be an
address your customers can easily remember. Web space is where you will
host your website. Various hosting plans exist and some hosting
providers even offer the domain name for free. Different businesses
require different hosting plans. You should plan the bandwidth (upload
and download) you think
you will need so that your website would not be down. This is very
important as you might lose
potential customers. It is hard to tell how much bandwidth your visitors
would use so it is important that you monitor your website statistics
within reports offered for free by your hosting provider. We have

Step 4:
Advertise your website. Now that you have chosen your products, built
your website and hosted it on the internet, you need visitors. Your
website is one out of approximately 3 billion pages on the internet. It
is next to impossible to have visitors to your website without
advertising. Advertising your website and getting potential
customers is where the real work starts. This is probably the most
difficult thing to do but not impossible. There are many options how to
advertise your website for free or paid adverts. We suggest you
advertise using both options.
